King Faisal Medical City (KFMC)


King Faisal Medical City is considered a world-class health center located in the southern province of Saudi Arabia, Abha with a total plot area of 1,500,000m2 and a built-up area of 174,300m2

The hospital comprises (3) three towers, 13 floors each that are divided into a central tower with a capacity of 500-beds and a North and South tower that include specialty hospitals with a capacity that adds up to 850-beds.

The medical city also includes public amenities such as a mosque, hotel, administrative and research facilities, a convention center and staff residence.

EMDAD’s scope of work included providing design review, shop drawings and site supervision services covering all disciplines, healthcare architecture, structure, MEP and electromechanical networks such as potable water networks, fire-fighting, water and waste-water, electrical and communication networks and medical gases network.

Zuhair Fayez and associates provided architectural and engineering design while Al Fouzan for Trading and General Contracting (FTCO) was the main contractor.
