THE KING FAISEL MEDICAL CITY (KFMC) IS PART OF KING ABDULLAH OF SAUDI ARABIA'S VISION TO CREATE WORLD-CLASS HEALTHCARE CENTERS THROUGHOUT THE KINGDOM. THE PROJECT IS LOCATED IN THE CITY OF ASSER PROVENCE BETWEEN ABHA AND KHAMIS MESHEAT ON THE KING ABDULLAH ROAD IN THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA, AND IS CONSISTING OF TWO PHASES: PHASE (1): CONSISTS OF THE SITE PLAN, CUP BUILDING, TUNNEL, AND 500 BED TOWER. PHASE (2): CONSISTS OF THE NORTH AND SOUTH TOWERS TO REACH 1350 BEDS.
KFMC REQUIREMENTS IDENTIFIED FOR THE CENTRAL UTILITY PLANT, PHASE (1), AND PHASE (2) OF THE HOSPITAL. SCHEMATICS SHALL TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE FULL 365,000 SQ. METERS WITH 1350 BEDS WHEN SIZING MAIN UTILITY DISTRIBUTION AND GENERATOR PARALLELING GEAR. PROVISIONS SHALL BE DESIGNED TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT AND PROVIDE FOR EXPANSION OF THE PHASE 2 PORTION OF THE HOSPITAL.
