Overview
BIM Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that their discipline’s model is created as per the applicable standards, spatially coordinated, and equipped with required information. They will also be required to prepare BIM files for the team, perform Navisworks clash coordination, maintain and regularly check model health, and assist BIM Manager in the creation of BIM Execution Plans. The role will also support in the maintenance and advancement of company’s BIM templates and standards
Responsibilities
- Ensuring projects are being run as per the Office BIM Standards, project’s BIM Execution Plan and Client’s EIR,
- Collaborating with internal and external teams related to project delivery,
- Compiling and managing the combined discipline model for all project assets,
- Creating and managing BIM model information (both graphical and non-graphical) within own team and verifying correctness of external teams’ BIM model information,
- Carry out regular spatial coordination checks of their discipline’s design (involving models of other disciplines as well),
- Communicating coordination issues to the project team,
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, or Engineering,
- At least 5 years of experience in similar position, ideally implementing BIM on major design projects,
- Excellent working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and Autodesk Navisworks,
- Has a good understanding of BIM principles and its direction within the AEC industry,
- Ability to understand Exchange Information Requirements (EIR) and implement into the models,
- Advanced capabilities with software applications such as: BIM 360 / ACC, Dynamo, PowerBI and similar,
